EHL Early Season Top 50 rankings
1. Brayden Patricia – ’00 Forward - ProTec Ducks
Strong top line center who is impactful in all areas of the ice. Possesses strong patience with the puck with ability to survey options and snap passes to open teammates. Strong cycle game. Tough on opponents in the defensive zone keeping tight gaps and pinning opponents to the boards.
2. Egan Schmitt – ‘01 Forward – Vermont Lumberjacks
Veteran top line forward with elite scoring ability at the Tier 3 level. Strong puck possession player. Generates a lot of scoring chances. Reads the play very well and creates many turnovers. Consistently finds the open man in the offensive zone. Averaged almost a point per game last season and appears to increase that by a significant margin.
3. Kei Yasuda – ’00 Forward - New Jersey 87s
Top six center. Good skater with shifty lateral movement and good hands. Sometimes plays too perimeter of a game. Good vision. Aggressive forechecker, but needs to improve on successfully finishing his checks.
4. Bjorn Schuepbach – ‘00 Defenseman – Seacoast Spartans
Undersized, two-way defenseman who punches above his weight. Good skater who is constantly moving into open lanes from the point in the offensive zone. Plays heavy minutes in all situations. Does not have the heaviest shot but can get it through traffic for rebounds and is very accurate when in close off the rush.
5. Tyler Buonopane – ‘00 Forward – CT Roughriders
Good skater with wide base. Hard on pucks. Strong, effective passer. Heavy shot with decent accuracy. Transitions the puck up ice effectively into the offensive zone. Reads the play well with strong anticipation. Forces opponents to give up pucks in neutral zone. Plays heavy minutes including significant PK time.
October 17 2020 - USNTDP U18 (4) vs Muskegon Lumberjacks (2)
Both teams came out hard and fast to start this contest, trading off goals in the first five minutes of the game. The NTDP got on the board within the first 90 seconds of the game, but Muskegon evened the score early into their first powerplay of the game. NTDP responded by generating a significant amount of chances.
Scouting Notes
Aidan Hreschuk – ‘03 Defense - USNTDP U18 (Boston College)
Creative two-way defender with high end vision. Moves pucks quickly and effectively to open teammates. Releases puck rapidly from the point and can put shots through traffic. Anticipates play well to keep pucks in the offensive zone. Has the ability to set up forwards for Grade A chances. Still responsible defensively, shutting down many odd man rushes against, blocking shots, and serving on the top PK unit.
Jack Williams - ‘02 Forward - Muskegon Lumberjacks (Northeastern)
200 foot winger who is very defensively responsible. High hockey IQ. Knows how to create and find open space. Moves the puck very well with the ability to find open teammates in all areas of the ice. Can transition the puck up ice himself through the neutral zone. One of the main focal points for top powerplay unit for facilitating puck movement. Skating could use a little improvement in lengthening stride to increase speed.

Tyler Gaulin – ‘01 Forward – Maine Nordiques (Maine)
Quick feet. Very mobile. Pretty fast release shot with good pace. Poised with the puck. High end vision and creativity. Generates a lot of Grade A scoring opportunities for himself and linemates. Active stick on forecheck and in neutral zone. Has some one-on-one ability. Buzzes around the net.
Nolan Barrett – ‘00 Defenseman – Danbury Jr Hat Tricks (Merrimack)
Two-way defenseman who moves the puck very well. Top PP d-man. Fluid skater for size. Can transition puck up himself, with speed and acceleration. Quick release and accurate shot. Very physically strong and tough to play against. Frequently lays the body.
Andy Stoneman – ‘00 Forward – Northeast Generals (Bowdoin)
200 foot player. Strong puck possession player. Transitions puck up and down ice. Good body control. Strong on feet. Heavy shot that is very accurate. Plays all situations. Tough to play against.
Anthony Mastromonica – ‘00 Forward – Johnstown Tomahawks (Uncommitted)
All situations center who dominated the weekend. Plays a big, heavy, physical game. Tough in all areas of the ice. Moves the puck well to generate chances for teammates. Strong net front presence. Decent speed for a bigger center. Picks up speed pretty well in open ice.
Reid Leibold – ‘01 Forward - Maryland Black Bears (RPI)
Quick accurate shot off the rush. Very good hands with ability to deke out defenders or goaltenders. Cuts into open space to be a solid passing option. Can transition the puck up ice using body position to protect the puck. Rapidly accelerates to gain speed in open ice. While primarily a shooter, he has the ability to set up teammates for quality scoring opportunities.
October 16 2020 - NA3HL Alexandria Blizzard (5) vs Wilmar Warhawks (3)
Alexandria escaped with a 5 to 3 victory against the Wilmar Warhawks, in a game where both teams would have left the arena wishing they finished on more of their opportunities. Both teams failed to score on the powerplay, collectively going 0 for 9.
Cooper Olsen kept the Warhawks in the game, making key saves on the penalty kill in the second, as well as a tough breakaway save late in the third with his team down 1. Caleb Strong finished a hearty performance with 2 goals, while teammate Nikolai Rajala finished with 3 assists.
Ben Johnson - ‘03 Defenseman - Wilmar Warhawks
6’2” Mobile 2-way defender with lots of offensive upside. Constantly involved in offensive zone, with smart IQ when jumping into cycles and rushes. Defensively sound, reads passing plays well. Young prospect to keep an eye on
10.16.20 - MJHL Waywayseecappo Wolverines (3) vs Dauphin Kings (1)
Liam Tereposky was the star of the game, keeping the Wolverines in it from the very beginning. The Wolverines reeled heavily on their special teams and goaltender, being outshot 34-13 at the end of 2 periods.
Both teams power plays sputtered in the beginning, but started to heat up in the second period. Special teams would be the key to the game, as Wayway would find the back of the net on both the powerplay and penalty kill. Mackenzie Belinski would finish the night with a goal and 2 assists for the Wolverines.
Grady Hobbs -’00 Forward - Dauphin Kings (RIT)
Hard-nose, undersized winger with some anger in his game. Heavy, sweeping wrist shot and an accurate one timer, especially on the powerplay. Never shy to shooting the puck, but has playmaking abilities as well. Hobbs has a quick hop stride, and can beat defenders with speed or muscle. The MJHL veteran is entering his 5th season, coming off career high 81 points in 60 games in 2019-2020.
