Scouting Notes
Caleb Strong - ‘01 Forward - Alexandria Blizzard
Hardworking forward who is hungry on the forecheck, getting in passing lanes and disrupting breakouts. Not the fastest player but makes up for it with positional IQ and awareness. Heavy shot from a quick release.
Carter Rieland - ‘00 Forward - Alexandria Blizzard
Patient, smart forward who finds pucks well to create chances. Oppurtunistic with scoring chances, seems to be always in the right place at the right time. Has a very well rounded game, especially offensively. Big 3rd period with 2 goals.
Ben Johnson - ‘03 Defenseman - Wilmar Warhawks
6’2” Mobile 2-way defender with lots of offensive upside. Constantly involved in offensive zone, with smart IQ when jumping into cycles and rushes. Defensively sound, reads passing plays well. Young prospect to keep an eye on.
Cooper Olsen - ‘01 Goalie - Wilmar Warhawks
Undersized goalie at 5’10”. Moves extemremly well in butterfly, lateral sliding and reverse VH post coverage. Made number of crucial saves on penalty kill and late in third. Desperation lateral movements are extremely good. Look for some improvement in balance and shot tracking.
