Program Spotlights - Central Division
Aberdeen Wings - 6-0-0-0
Aberdeen has started the season off on a tremendous tear as they have started the season off 6-0 out scoring their opponents 36 to 9. They have added junior experience to a roster that already has a lot of experience. 01’ Veteran defensemen Nico Devito has been looking good on the blue line being effective in every situation. Their powerplay is clicking at 34.8 percent and their penalty kill is a perfect 100 percent. They look like a team that is poised to make a deep run this year.
Minot Minotauros - 4-0-1-1
Joseph Harguindeguy’s third year in the league is starting off well as he is on a 4 game goal streak and has 9 points through 6 games. He is a smaller forward who compete in all 3 zones. Minot’s 2 losses have come to Bismarck and the Minnesota Wilderness. Minot has a bye weekend before traveling to St. Cloud.
Minnesota Wilderness - 1-1-0-0
The Wilderness split with Minot to start their season. They have one game vs St. Cloud on Halloween before another two week break before their schedule pucks up in November.
Program Spotlights - East Division
Maine Nordiques - 6-1-0-0
Maine opened their season up with a sweep of the Generals, then splitting with Johnstown before taking 3 straight away from the Titans. Recent University of Maine commit Tyler Gaulin has continued his scoring ways into the NAHL after a prolific scoring career in the New England Prep hockey. Second year player Isaiah Fox looks like a D1 prospect and is on pace for a monster 20 year old year.
Johnstown Tomahawks - 3-0-2-1
Johnstown has had a knack for playing overtime games as four of their six have gone into extra time. Johnstown’s rookies are leading the way up front as John Gelatt has 9 points and Brendan Clark has 8 points. Acquired in the off season Anthony Mastomonica has provided excellent veteran leadership along with Max Neil who was acquired from Steinbach in the MJHL.
Danbury Jr Hat Tricks-4-1-0-0
Danbury’s lone loss came to the hands of the New Jersey Titans in their opening weekend. Since the loss, Danbury has had a three game win streak with the most recent wins coming from a sweep of the Maryland Black Bears. Up front Danbury is relying on prep stars Mark D’Agostino, Cody Hoban and Alex Krause to carry the load. Defensively division 1 commits Spencer Evans and Nolan Barrett have been steady to start the year.
Program Spotlights - South Division
Odessa Jackalopes - 2-0-0-0
After sweeping Witchita sits in the south as the only undefeated team to play games thus far. Mike Manzo had a terrific weekend adding three goals. This Odessa team has a much improved roster from last years team and should be in the thick of things all year.
Other South News
New Mexico and Lone Start split their opening weekend series.
Amarillo and Shreveport are yet to play.

Program Spotlights - Frontier Division
Great Falls Americans - 7-0-0
Goaltender Trevor Mellen is Carrying the load for his squad in his second year in the league. Mellen is posting a 94.1% and a 1.93 GAA and is averaging over 30 shots per game against. He is technically sound, poised and a proven gamer that should be getting D3 college interest. Great Falls overall is a fast paced team that is a great watch for NA and D3 scouts.
Missoula Junior Bruins - 3-1-1
Have only played one game since Oct 10. The one game was a 4-2 loss to Great Falls in a spirited throw back style junior hockey game. They paly Helena and Butte this weekend, and will need wins to keep pace with Great Falls.
Gillette Wild - 3-2-1
Gillete has a big weekend series vs Great Falls that could shape up the long term standings of the Frontier division. Two players to watch for Gillette are Nathan Fanning and Declan Young. As 01’s bother are intriguing NA3 tender prospects. Look for Gillette to give Great Falls everything they can handle as weekend.
Program Spotlights - Central Division
Rochester Grizzlies - 4-0-0
Goaltenders Zach Wiese, Shane Soderwall and Zach Foster have all been up to the task this season posting over a 92% save percentage through four games. Tyler Huffner has looked good on the back end as the mobile defensemen from Alaska has 5 points through 4 games and has helped the Rochester Power Play tremendously. After beating Springfield 4 times to start the year the, the Grizzlies will be taking on Milwaukee this weekend.
Oregon Tradesmen - 4-1-0
The Tradesmen have jumped out to a hot start as they are averaging 4.8 goals a game. 2000 forwards Jacob Best and Parker Severson have been carrying the load up front in the early going. Severson has 8 points and has demonstrated a nice two way game, Best has been able to create offense in transition this year.
Milwaukee Power- 3-3-0
01’ Forward Teddy Marion has been carrying over his success this season from 18u with the Milwaukee Admirals. Marion has 10 points in 6 games. 00’ Forward Garrett Alton who participated at the Top Prospects game, has had 5 goals in 6 games. Milwaukee has a big opportunity this weekend as they take on the Rochester Grizzlies.
Program Spotlights - East Division
New Jersey Titans - 3-1-0
Titans have gotten off to a fast start in their first year in the NA3. 02’ Goaltender Ethan Kavanough has been extremely impressive in the early portion of the season post a 3-1 record with a 91.5 save percentage. Titans are allowing over 30 shots per game and will need to fix the team defense moving forward as their next 5 games are against a good Northeast Generals team.
Northeast Generals - 2-1-0
After splitting with Danbury they went onto beat Bay State. A pair of 03’s lead the team in scoring Sean Gorman and Nick Ramm. Veteran Decon More has looked good on the blueline and should be getting college attention very soon.
Program Spotlights - South Division
Atlanta Capitals - 6-0-0
Nick Cyrpian, former Avon Old Farms role player has been flourishing in Junior hockey with 15 points through six games. In a limited role at Avon he showed offensive upside, which is clearly on display this season. He is player to be watched for Division 3 coaches. Atlanta overall, has been scoring at high numbers this are averaging 50 shots per game. They have a big 3 game set vs. Louisiana this weekend.
Oklahoma Blazers- 6-1-0
After opening the season with two high scoring affairs, Oklahoma has put the clamps down defensively. Averaging 1.00 GAA in their last 5 they look to carry that momentum vs El Paso who comes into town to open up their season.
Louisiana Ice Drillers - 3-5-1
Louisiana has been up and down through the early part of the season. They will need to clean up their team defense as they are giving up 4.5 goals a game. With high flying Atlanta offense coming in for a 3 game set, the Ice Drillers will be put up to the test.
Program Spotlights - West Division
North Iowa Bulls - 5-2-0
This is a very deep consistent team that receives scoring from all forward lines and their defensive core. They will again be at the top of the standings as they appear like a team that has not hit their stride yet and will continue to get better as the season wears on.
Alexandria Blizzard - 4-2-1
After a big 4-2 win over North Iowa, Alexandria looks to carry their momentum into the weekend as they take on New Ulm and Granite city. Veteran mobile defensemen Cole Lehman is off too a hot start with four goals. He is developing into one of the top defensemen in the leaue.

Alexandria escaped with a 5 to 3 victory against the Wilmar Warhawks, in a game where both teams would have left the arena wishing they finished on more of their opportunities. Both teams failed to score on the powerplay, collectively going 0 for 9.

Hardworking forward who is hungry on the forecheck, getting in passing lanes and disrupting breakouts. Not the fastest player but makes up for it with positional IQ and awareness. Heavy shot from a quick release.
