USA Wins 2023 IIHF Women’s World Championships
The United States defeated Canada 6-3 behind 2, 3rd period powerplay goals by Hillary Knight to win the 2023 IIHF Women's World Championships, their 1st gold since 2019 and 10th all time. Knight’s hat trick performance would also produce her 100th point all time !
The US fought back after trailing 3 separate times throughout the game in front of a sold out crowd, finishing Canada’s gold medal streak after defeating the US in the last 2 gold medal games.
