Northeast Pack Claims All 4 Titles at USHL Fall Classic
Midget Hockey
The 2021 Dick’s Sporting Goods Fall Classic Youth tournament was held September 23rd through September 26th, bringing together some of the nations top prospects for the U18, U16, U15 and U14 divisions. The RI Saints took home the championships for the U18 and U15 divisions, while Noel Rubin and Rockets Hockey Club won the U16 division title, and Pens Elite topped the U14 division.
Devils Prospect Retires at 22, Pursuing Career As Social Media Influencer

Nikita Popugayev has announced his retirement at the age of 22, to pursue a career as a social media influencer. The 4th round selection in 2017 has bounced around the Russian leagues, as well as brief stints in the AHL and ECHL. in 2020-2021, Popugayev finished with 6 points in 25 games at the KHL level, as well as 7 games in the Russian VHL. Currently, Popugayev has over 23K followers on Instagram on his verified account.
Kristen Welsh Makes History
OHL
Kristen Welsh became the first woman to work as a linesperson in an OHL game on Thursday when Mississauga took on Guelph in a preseason match up. The Blackstock, Ontario native was the captain of the Robert Morris University Women’s hockey team from 2015-2019, recording over 90 points in 128 regular season games.

Grace Campbell Records First Win
USPHL Elite
Grace Campbell has become the first woman goaltender in USPHL junior history to record a win, after defeating the Palm Beach Typhoon 3-2 on September 26th. Campbell, a Boston University Commit, made 21 saves in the win, and currently is posting a .906 save % in 2 Elite Division games this season.

Anna has been the driver for the Wilkes Barre Scranton Knights, facilitating offense on every shift. The left handed forward is extremely calm with the puck, and can beat defenders with skill or determination. Through 3 games, Anna has totaled 7 goals and an assist, including a 5 goal game on September 24th against Hershey.
