Division I
The two-time national champs are once again top of the national rankings as the 2021-2022 season gets underway. The official computer rankings will come out after November 1st, and is the official ranking system to determine the 20 teams invited to the national championships.

Central Oklahoma Offense Explodes vs Bama
Division I
Central Oklahoma doubled up Alabama over the weekend, scoring a combined 14 goals. In game 1, the Bronchos had 6 different goal scorers on their way to a commanding 6-1 win. Game 2 was a 8-7 shootout thriller, with Central Oklahoma scoring 4 straight 3rd period goals to bring the game to OT. Quinn Fahey netted a hat trick in the game for Bama, while Luke Bambardir led Central Oklahoma with 2 goals in regulation, and the shootout game winner.
Lindenwood Opens Season With 2 Wins vs Missouri State
Division I
The #2 ranked team in Division I got their season started in the perfect way, with 2 controlled wins, outscoring Missouri State 10-2 for the weekend. Colton Craigo finished the weekend with 2 goals and an assist for Lindenwood. Missouri State opened their season last week with a sweep on Illinois State.
West Virginia vs Oakland Weekend Series
Division I
West Virginia averaged over 40 shots in both games, doubling up Oakland University in two tight games, 3-2 on Friday and 3-1 Saturday. Both Oakland goaltenders Parker Remelius and Calijah Hunter handled the offensive barrage extremely well. Cam Grant found the back of the net for WVU in both games, as well as Cory Schwartz for Oakland.
Oklahoma Splits Weekend With Arkansas
Division I
Oklahoma, the 23rd ranked team in the preseason rankings split the weekend with University of Arkansas, both games ending in scores of 4-1. In game 1, Griggin Sugasawara scored twice for his 5th and 6th of the season, to help the Razor get the opening win. Game 2 was an even game, with shots totaling 31 to 29 in favor of Arkansas. Tristan Glass, Marshall Rushing, Hunter Lane and Trevor Finch all scored for Oklahoma in the win.
Concordia Ann Arbor vs Western Michigan Weekend Series
Division I
A high scoring weekend for both teams. Western Michigan took Game 1 7-5, with Blake Siewertsen and Ethan Kotre both finding 2 goals a piece. Game 2 would need overtime, Abel Christians would score on a penalty shot to take the game 6-5 for Concordia - Ann Arbor.

Rider Opens Season with 2 Dominating Wins
Division II
The small New Jersey school opened their season with 2, 10 goal performances. The Broncs took care of Montclair State easily on opening night, with a 10-1 win powered by a hat trick by Chris Walako and 2 goal performance from Cole Schneider. Saturday night was no different for Rider, handing Scranton University a 10-2 loss. Walako and Schnieder would duplicate their Friday goal totals again on Saturday, with 3 for Walako and 2 for Schneider.
Miami of Ohio Cruises Past Dayton
Division II
Miami of Ohio defeated Dayton by scores of 5-0 Saturday and 11-0 Sunday. Torsten Lee and Jacob Schmitt now top all Division 2 scoring, each averaging over 2 points per game.
Xavier & Denison Split Weekend
Division II
Chris Becker scored twice to give Xavier a 4-0 win in game 1, a game that was firmly in Xavierâs possession after taking a 3-0 first period lead. Denison came back with a strong game 2, outshooting Xavier 41-28, getting the win by a score of 4-2. After 2 quick goals from Oliver Gignoux in the second, Xavier quickly responded to tie the game. Ethan Wipffâs late 2nd period goal would give Denison the lead entering the third, where Nicholas Salerno would tally an insurance goal 5 minutes into the third to wrap up game 4-2.
Ilvento, Fishman Lead UCLA
Division II
UCLA took down Eastern Washington in both games, 3-1 on Friday and 5-1 on Saturday, powered by two stellar performances by Johnny Ilvento and Duke Fishman. Ilvento finished the weekend with 3 goals and 1 assist, while Fishman, who may possibly have the best hockey name in the ACHA, finished the weekend with 2 goals and 2 assists.
