Hockey East Recruiting - By The Numbers
As the Hockey East season rapidly approaches, we took a deep dive into the incoming freshman class for each team to see what programs developed this year’s rookie talent. We also decided to look at the Seniors on the current rosters so as to analyze their developmental path before reaching school. It is our belief that many people overemphasize where a player was rostered when they received their commitment, instead of focusing on which programs actually develop these prospects into successful college players.

Preview - Atlantic Youth Hockey Report
The Atlantic Youth Hockey League took a big blow to their scheduling this week as the Governors of New Jersey and Connecticut ordered that only in state games can be played for the foreseeable future. This order eliminates any cross-state games in a league that spreads across 5 states. Over the next several weeks teams will most likely adjust their schedule to face their in-state foes with the anticipation that later in the year they will be able to again cross state lines.

Team Maryland (3-1-0)
Maryland has not played an AYHL game since mid-October and will most likely see several scheduling changes moving forward. Since our last report, Team Maryland has dropped a game to the Little Flyers but bounced back with two convincing wins over the Jr. Flyers. 03’ Forward Ethan Ouyang, a former Youngstown Phantom draft pick, is a hard nose forward who is averaging 2 points per game. His strength and body is almost Junior ready and he should be considered for the NAHL next season.
Philadelphia Jr. Flyers (5-2-0)
The Jr. Flyers are sitting up top of the standings and look poised to make a big run at the 16u division title. Their defensive core is hard to play against and they like to bring a physical presence. Upfront they rely on scoring at all lines, but power forward Joshua Peadbody is off to a fantastic start accumulating 11 points in 7 games.
New Jersey Titans (3-2-1)
A recent weekend sweep put the Titans in 1st place in the Elite division. Like most NJ teams they will be reconfiguring their schedule which will either help the Titans create separation or allow teams to pass them in the standings. The Titans D-core has been impressive as they push the play on both sides of the puck.
