OHL - Oshawa Generals (4) vs Peterborough Petes (3) SO
11.5.24
In mid-week OHL action, the Pete's fans were given a great entertaining match up that saw the Oshawa Generals come back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat Peterborough. Both goaltenders Isaac Gravelle (Oshawa) and Zach Bowen (Peterborough) were at their best as they were able to hold off each other's team's power plays as both teams collectively went 0 for 9 on the Power Play. Heading into the third period Oshawa began their third period comeback as Oshawa's Ben Danford launched a point shot that tricked Zach Bowen, 12 seconds into the period.
Later on Colorado Avalanche first round pick Callum Ritchie made a ridiculous pass as he beat the defender 1 on 1 and continued to send a back hand pass to Matt Buckley in the high slot who was able to finish the puck pass Zach Bowen. In the shootout Gravelle was able to shut the door as Beckett Sennecke and Colby Barlow both finished their opportunities completing the comeback for Oshawa.
U15 - #5 Pittsburgh Penguins Elite (5) vs #10 St. Louis AAA Blues (4) OT
11.3.24
In a tale of two halves, the Penguins saw a 4-0 lead midway through the game evaporate as the Blues scored twice in a 4v4 situation with the goalie out to send the game to overtime. The hockey gods were cruel as the Blues proceeded to give up a shorthanded breakaway game-winning goal under a minute into the extra frame. The Pens were led on offense by the Sargo brothers and
Nolan Snyder. Liam Power tied the game late on a beautiful net front deflection while Cayden Jackman and Charlie Barnes were consistent offensive threats throughout the game.
