Pittsburgh Predators (3) vs Detroit Little Caesars (2)

At the USHL fall classic the Pittsburgh Predators made noise upsetting the highly skilled Detroit Little Caesars team 3-2. Played sounds structured hockey and capitalizing on their scoring chances the Predators were able to fend off Little Caesars. Predators forward Landon Klein went off netting two goals and goaltender Tyler Flunk shut the door on the Little Caesars high powered offensive attack. Little Caesars added a goal late in the third to cut the Predator lead from 3-1 to 3-2 on a power play goal. However, with the support of his defensive core, Flunk was able to secure the victory for his team.
Sioux Falls Stampede (4) vs Muskegon Lumberjacks (3) OT

Fighting back from a 2-0 deficit the Sioux Falls Stampede completed a 2-0 showcase weekend. In the opening frame the Muskegon Lumberjacks dominated the Stampede but after intermission corrections the Stampede were able to chip away with two second period goals. In what was a back and forth third period it was not until overtime where Sioux Falls was able to send Muskegon home.
Sioux Falls goaltender Carl Axelsson was a key component in the Sioux Falls victory, the 6'3 goaltender plays big in net and has the athletic ability to make any save on the ice. Timely saves especially early on kept the game from getting out of control, a crucial breakaway save made changed the tide in the game.
Philadelphia Rebels (5) vs Johnstown Tomahawks (3)

In what was a back and forth match up against two NAHL east division foes, it was the Rebels that outlasted the Tomahawks after a 3 goal third period performance. The Rebels have raced out to a 2-0-1-0 record early in the NAHL season and it was a lot of familiar faces for the Rebels coming up big on Saturday night.
04' Forwards Brock Jones and Charles Panchisin recorded 3 points each in the affair while 05' Forward rookie Ruslan Jamaldinov continued his over a point per game pace recording 3 points as well. Going 2 for 5 on the power play, the Rebels were able to capitalize on the Tomahawks mistakes. The Rebels added an empty net late which sealed the contest for the Rebels.
