Scouting Notes

Jimmy Sutherland - Forward - BK Selects

Sutherland’s speed was apparent all weekend, with escapability speed creating multiple chances or drawing penalties. The lefty has an engine, and showed his straight line, sometimes reckless speed on the PK, chipping to himself and winning foot races with defenseman to create breakaway chances. The play seems to slow down while with the puck, with head up, Sutherland is a quick puck mover, especially breaking pucks out. Did a great job showing off his game vs LA Jr Kings, scoring from a rush in the neutral zone where his feet never stopped moving, and had a determination to get to the middle of the ice to get shot off from a dangerous area.
