Top NHL Prospect Joins Muskegon
Ivan Ryabkin, an A rated prospect for the 2025 NHL Draft, is officially on the move to the Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL, his contact officially terminated this week by Dynamo Moskva.
ACHA Upset
UNLV, one of the top D1 ACHA programs, defeated one of the top NCAA programs in Denver last weekend, a 7-6 shootout thriller. Denver, entering this weekend at #6, was without their head coach David Carle and star defenseman Zeev Buium, both out representing the United States at World Juniors, but a historic moment for ACHA hockey.
Semifinal Saturday
The semifinals are set for the 2025 World Junior Championship Saturday, with the finals on Sunday in Ottawa. The United States took care of business in their quarterfinal matchup with Switzerland, jumping out early and never looking back for a 7-2 win. The US will face Czechia, who for the 2nd year in a row defeat Canada with a last-minute goal, arguably one of the deepest teams in the tournament. Sweden and Finland will renew their rivalry to kick the semifinals off at 3:30 PM EST, with USA vs Czechia at 7:30 PM EST.
