Nicholas Sewecke - ‘03 Forward - Pens Elite
Sewecke is a solid two-way player that really drives the play for his team. He is often first to arrive at pucks in foot races, on the forecheck he often disrupts his opponents regroup efforts and breakouts. He has shown that he has the ability to finish the puck in the net-front as he had a nice net front goal versus the Gulls. An all around solid player that can play up and down a line up.
Matthew Green - ‘04 Forward - Pens Elite
Green is well built with a nice frame and has shown the ability to use it to his advantage in the puck-possession game. He creates separation for himself on the wall using his body and his foot work allows him to get in and out of trouble. He was often found around the net hunting down rebounds and showed the ability to get into high percentage scoring areas.
Zach Hixon - ‘04 Defensemen - Pens Elite
The 6'4” defensemen has come to play for Pens Elite after spending the last few years with Esmark. He has progressed gradually throughout the years and is really rounding out his game. His long reach combined with his skating ability makes him hard to play against if you’re an opposing forward. What is most impressive about his game is his defensive zone habits as he is polished in the little details of defensive play.
Jake Manfre - ‘04 Forward - Long Island Gulls
Commit : Princeton
Manfre continues to impress and progress under the Long Island Gulls Coaching staff. When the puck is on his stick, he has shown the ability to make plays regularly. On the power play he is a major threat to shoot the puck and suck the defenders to him opening up passing lanes. His foot speed is rapidly improving and has developed the ability to create off the rush. Manfre is a good-looking prospect that is trending in the right direction.
Ryan Friedman - ‘04 Forward - Long Island Gulls
The skilled forward is extremely shifty and makes life difficult for opposing defenders. He dominates the puck possession game and demands the puck on his stick at all times. Here he showed off a nice display of stick-work where he was able to cradle pucks anywhere in his stride. His stick skills created a few opportunities but were also holding him back a bit as he passed up way too many scoring chances.
