Princeton Takes 2 OT Winners In Home Weekend
The Princeton Tigers needed OT heroics in both games of their opening home weekend of the season. The Tigers defeated Yale 5-4 in a back and fourth game, with Adam Robbins sniping the game winner home on the breakaway with seconds left in OT. The following night, Princeton would find themselves down 2-0 at one point, tying the game with 1:05 left before Tyler Rubin finished the game in OT sneaking behind the Brown defense off a change for a breakaway.
Rubin, a Belmont Hill and BCHL product, could be a prospect for pro scouts to keep an eye on. The sophomore defenseman has great feet, a fluid stride but his instincts on both sides of the puck stand out the most. Through 4 games, Rubin has 2G 2A, and looks to be a top defenseman for Princeton to rely on.
