Princeton upset Ohio State on home ice with 2, 3-1 wins, never trailing in either game. ECAC Rookie of the Month Jake Manfre had 2G 2A on the weekend, 6 points in his first 8 NCAA games.
The Friendship Four concluded in Belfast, headlined by Boston University going 2 and 0 with wins over Merrimack and Notre Dame.
#20 Clarkson goes to OT twice vs top 25 opponents, falling to #10 Providence 3-2 Friday, and a tie with #16 UMass Lowell 4-4.
Alaska Fairbanks almost had the upset Friday night, tying #3 Minnesota 1-1. Minnesota would bounce back Saturday with a 5-2 win.
#7 Western Michigan and #6 Michigan split a weekend series at Yost Arena, 4-1 WMU, 2-1 Michigan.
Mid Week Games
Projected 1st overall pick James Hagens was the OT hero Wednesday, 2-1 over UConn, 3 goals in last 2 games entering this weekend after just 1 in first 12 NCAA games. Not that he hasn’t been productive, the former USNTDP standout has just 3 games without a point, 4G 14A in 14 games. Other mid-week matchups included Alaska Anchorage taking down Stonehill 4-1, and Sacred Heart defeating Army 4-0.

Minnesota starts a grueling stretch to end 2024 with weekend series vs Michigan this weekend, and #1 Michigan State next weekend.
Friday Saturday - #8 Colorado College vs #10 Providence
Providence enters this matchup 10-3-2 with their only losses coming against top 25 opponents, recently swept ECAC north country with wins over #20 Clarkson and St Lawrence.
