October 19 2020 - NCDC Boston Jr. Bruins (6) vs Islanders Hockey Club (1) The Boston Jr. Bruins hosted the Islanders hockey club in a Monday matinee. This game was originally scheduled to be played in New Hampshire, but was shifted to Massachusetts based on the evolving nature of COVID-19 regulations in each state. The Jr. Bruins were ready to play from the outset. Forward Frankie Ireland ’01 firing a Grade A one-time shot that was stopped by goaltender Jake Perrin ’00. This was the beginning of a long night for the IHC netminder who was challenged with a significant amount of quality opportunities against. The Jr. Bruins first line pair of Ireland, Garozzo ’00, and Union Commit Colin Graf ’02 dominated the play throughout with IHC unable to find a way to stop their offensive attack. Perrin also stopped a Grade A chance from Ryan Roseborough ‘00 approximately five minutes into the game. IHC had several quality odd-man rush shots that were denied by TJ Semptimphelter ’02. The Jr. Bruins eventually capitalized on a powerplay near the end of the first period to take the lead. The Jr. Bruins played the puck around from Ryan Prewitt ’02 to Dom Garozzo ’00 to Frankie Ireland ’01, who passed it to Cameron Lund ‘04 in front of the net. Lund quickly deposited the puck into the back of the net.
