The shifty Leighton came up big in Rochester’s play-in series vs Northeast. The uncommitted prospect has 1G 1A in each playoff game + averaging 5 shots per game.
Jacob MacDonald ‘03 Forward
Lone Star Brahmas (NAHL)
MacDonald’s 2, 3rd period goals lifted Lone Star over New Mexico 3-1 last night. The skilled and powerful lefty’s highlight reel goal might be an early favorite for goal of the playoffs.
Brody Simko ‘04 Forward
Ogden Mustangs (USPHL NCDC)
After 43 points in 49 games during the regular season, Simko has been a constant goal scorer in Ogdens run to the Dineen Cup Finals. 7G 3A in 7 playoff games, including 2 eventual game winners + 1 OT winner during the Idaho Falls series.
Ryan Keyes ‘03 Goaltender
South Shore Kings (USPHL NCDC)
The recent Merrimack commit has once again led a team to a deep NCDC playoff run, after leading the Mercer Chiefs last season. Keyes is 8-1 during the playoffs, with a .933 save % and 2.00 GAA, taking down the 2 top teams on the East coast in Islanders Hockey Club and defending champion PAL Islanders.
Jonathan Kapageridis ‘07 Defenseman
Cobourg Cougars (OJHL)
After spending the majority of 23-24 win Don Mills Flyers U18, Kapageridis has been a quiet producer for the Cougars during their run to the Eastern Conference finals. The 6’0” righty had 4G 10A in 17 playoff games + 1G 2A in his only OJHL game during the regular season.
Ryan Duguay ‘03 Forward
Melfort Mustangs (SJHL)
Duguay joined Melfort last season from the AJHL and was almost a point per game in the regular season. 23-24, he was over a point per game with 26G 26A in 34 regular season games + a top producer in the playoffs with 9G 8A in 12 games. Duguay has 3 game winner’s in the playoffs, with his most important goal coming in game 7 overtime to send the Mustangs to the SJHL Final, their first since the 2018-2019 season.
Cole Plowman ‘03 Goaltender
Steinbach Pistons (MJHL)
Cole Plowman is doing whatever he can to hep win the Turnbull Cup in his 4th and final season in the MJHL, Technical yet athletic, explosive yet controlled, Plowman has given up 2 goals only twice through 12 playoff games + a 25 save shutout in game 7 vs OCN to reach the Turnbull Cup Finals. The 6’1” college prospect was impressive in game 1 of the Turnbull Cup Finals last night, stopping 38 of 40 in a tight, 2-1 loss to Winkler.
Dalton Andrew ‘03 Forward
Winkler Flyers (MJHL)
The MJHL point and goal scoring leader from the regular season will be a prospect to watch in the Turnbull Cup Finals. Currently 2nd in playoff points with 3G 9A, the 6’5 Andrew can drive the play, with 2G 4A coming in the final 3 games of the Flyer’s semifinal series vs Virden.
Jaeden Nelson ‘07 Goaltender
Navan Grads (CCHL)
After going 25-8-2 during the regular season, Nelson has led Navan to the Bogart Cup finals with an 8-3 record, 3-0 in OT including a double OT winner, and 2 shutouts. Nelson also appeared in 2 games for Ottawa of the OHL this season.
