Phase I
The USHL Phase I Draft is 10 total rounds, selecting the top players entering their U17 season (2005 birth years for 2021 draft).
Tanner Adams - ‘05 Forward - Mount St Charles U15
Pick : Tri-City Round 2 Pick 25
Adams became one of the most popular names in the Northeast through out the year and he lived up to the hype. He is an extremely gifted play making forward who knows how to put the puck in the net. His patience and vision are at an elite level which makes him a threat every time he is on the ice.
Christian Venticinque - ‘05 Forward - Mount St Charles U15
Pick : Lincoln Round 6 Pick 79
Lincoln's sixth round pick has potential to be a long-term player for the program. Venticinque plays a junior hockey type of game at 15u which is a rare find. He will put his shoulder through you, finish every hit, fly to the net and find a way to put up three points.
Chris Pelosi - ‘05 Forward - Mount St Charles U15
Pick : Muskegon Round 6 Pick 87
Pelosi competes on both sides of the puck regularly and is a player that does not cheat the game. Throughout the year he showed moments where he could finish and find the score sheet. His tool box is filled and with a huge summer and 16u year he could make his way into a Junior line up.
Maddox Tulacro - ‘05 Defenseman - Mount St Charles U15
Pick : Des Moines Round 6 Pick 88
Phase 2
The USHL Phase 2 draft allows team to draft any junior eligible player who is not protected by another USHL team.
Cameron O'Neil - ‘04 Forward - Mount St Charles U16
Pick : Tri-City Round 8 Pick 111
O'Neil loves to push the pace as he has an explosive stride. He uses his speed to get to the net and has always showed some touch around the net. What really intrigues scouts is awareness with and without the puck, combined with his skillset you have a good-looking prospect.
Thomas Heaney - ‘03 Goaltender - Mount St Charles U18
Pick : Muskegon Round 11 Pick 164
There was a lot to like about the 6'1 Goaltender all season as he back stopped his Mount team to a deep nationals run. He is very calm under pressure and rarely puts himself in poor situations in throughout the game. Every night he gives his team a chance to win and with some fine tuning he will fully develop into a Junior starting goaltender.
Anthony Cardilli - ‘05 Forward - Mount St Charles U15
Pick : Madison Round 16 Pick 241
As a 6'3 2005 birth year, Cardilli is extremely intriguing for not only USHL programs but for Division 1 schools. He is a big guy who plays in the dirty areas of the ice and is hard on pucks. His skating and puck skills are rapidly developing which he made progress throughout the year. Once he puts everything together Cardilli is going to be a very impactful player in Junior.
Michael Hagens - ‘05 Forward - Mount St Charles U15
Pick : Chicago Round 17 Pick 255
Hagens has a lot of skill in his game and has shown throughout the year he can put the puck in the net. His release can be dynamic and he gets it off in stride. On the power play he can create regularly and manages the puck well. He will need to continue to fill out his frame and can be a sneaky good long term player.
Jack Spicer - ‘04 Goaltender - Mount St Charles U16
Pick : Des Moines Round 19 Pick 278
One of the more athletic goaltenders for the 2004 birth year, Spicer always finds a way to make a save. His aggressive nature plays to his strengths but at times hurts him when he cannot control his rebounds. He will need to learn to play a more efficient game before heading to junior, but you can see why Des Moines took a chance on the young goaltender.
NAHL Supplemental Draft
The NAHL Supplemental Draft allows teams to select 3 junior eligible players, and was put in place during the Covid pandemic.
Jayden Sison - ‘03 Forward - Mount St Charles U18
Commit : Princeton
Pick : New Jersey Round 1 Pick 35
The Princeton commit plays the game with his head and is willing to play in the tough areas of the ice. He made his living in the net front of the powerplay hunting down pucks and cleaning up garbage. As many sources have said throughout the year you win titles with players like Jayden Sison.
Michael Woll - ‘03 Forward - Mount St Charles U18
Pick : Northeast Pick 85
The big power forward has had a great career at Mount St. Charles and has come a long way in his development since his 15u year. He can play a solid puck possession game and is not afraid to use his body to create separation. Long term if his skating continues to improve, he can progress into a nice north south type of forward.
Entry Draft
Thomas Heaney - ‘03 Goaltender - Mount St Charles U18
Pick : Northern Cyclones
There was a lot to like about the 6'1 Goaltender all season as he back stopped his Mount team to a deep nationals run. He is very calm under pressure and rarely puts himself in poor situations in throughout the game. Every night he gives his team a chance to win and with some fine tuning he will fully develop into a Junior starting goaltender.
Jake Howard - ‘03 Defenseman - Mount St Charles U18
Pick : Rockets Hockey Club
Howard is a mobile defender who uses his feet to defend and create scoring opportunities from the blue line. His defensive habits are polished for his age as he showed solid defensive positioning and stick habits throughout the year. He will need to continue to get stronger and meaner in the tough areas of the ice as he transitions to Junior hockey.
Ryan O'Connell - ‘03 Forward - Mount St Charles U18
Pick : Rockets Hockey Club
The shifty forward was always a threat to score this year, often playing on Mount's second line. He can drive the play with his electric speed and has a knack for changing directions quickly making him difficult to defend. All year he showed a goal scorers touch and the ability to set up his teammates.
Dylan Shane - ‘04 Defenseman - Mount St Charles U16
Pick : Rockets Hockey Club
Steady, that defines Dylane Shane as a defensemen. He quietly impacts the game and he takes several views to really appreciate what he can do. His style of play is often undervalued in midget hockey but will translate very well to Junior hockey.
Trevor Kruczek - ‘03 Forward - Mount St Charles U18
Pick : Rockets Hockey Club
Kruczek is a skilled play making forward who throughout the season showed glimpses of his upside. He has the ability to thread the needle to his teammates off the rush. If given space he can be a big-time offensive threat and even with pressure around him he has the hands to slip out of tough situations. Just needs to find consistency.
