Games to Watch
Division I
After defeating Central Oklahoma Friday night, #16 Missouri State is looking to complete the sweep of the 7th ranked Bronchos Saturday night. Stony Brook, currently ranked 9th in the latest poll, defeated URI on Friday night and will look to continue their push up the rankings with another win vs a tough URI team. Coming off a 5-3 win vs George Mason, Temple looks to put back to back wins together vs Navy Saturday. William Paterson fell to Towson to a 4-3 final Friday night, and looks to even the home and home series Saturday afternoon. The Illini fell to #11 Ohio University 5-3 Friday night, should be interesting to see if Ohio can finish the sweep before moving onto #4 Adrian College next weekend. After splitting with Lawrence Tech last weekend, University of Michigan Dearborn did not help their ranking with a Friday night loss to Indiana Tech 5-3. Look for a response on Saturday night.

Lindenwood Takes on NCAA Air Force
Division I
Lindenwood University, the current #1 ranked team in ACHA Division I, will take on Air Force of the NCAA Saturday 10/23 and Sunday 10/24. The matchup will be a great test for the ACHA leaders, and will be a great bench mark to see where the ACHA is compared to the NCAA.
Battle Within The Top 5
Division I
Liberty University and Minot State would meet in a Friday-Saturday series in a matchup of 2 of the top teams in the country. Game 1 would be all Beavers, who never trailed in the game after going up 2-1 after the first, taking the game 6-4. In game 2, Minot State responded after being down 1-0 after 1 with a 4 goal second period led by goal scorers Jordan Robertson, Carter Barley and Jared Hamm, all former Canadian Junior B players. They would add another goal in the third to take game 2 5-2. Liberty would bounce back quickly however, sweeping the University of Jamestown in a quick Monday-Tuesday series, winning 3-1 Monday and 2-1 Tuesday. Minot State takes on University of Illinois next in November 5th and 6th.
Stony Brook Jumps 5 Spots In Rankings After Adrian Sweep
Division I
The former #1 team in the ACHA was taken down by the Stony Brook Seawolves, who are now ranked #9 in the nation. Joseph Slevin and Gideon Cooper both had 2 goal games over the weekend. Matvei Kazakov made 82 saves on 86 shots over the weekend as Stony Brook was outshot in both games, yet took the weekend with a 3-2 win Friday, and 5-2 win Saturday. The Seawolves take on URI and NYU to close out their October schedule before battling #3 ranked Liberty University on November 5th and 6th.
#5 Iowa State Stays On Pace
Division I
#5 ranked Iowa State took down #9 Ohio University to solidify their spot in the top 5. With the recent changes in the top 5, Iowa State looks like a team who can jump up in the next couple of weeks. Hunter Floris drove the offense in both games, finishing with 4 goals and an assist on the weekend. The cyclones finish off the month of October with weekends against a strong 7-2 Maryville University and University of Illinois before taking on #7 ranked Central Oklahoma.
Bama Sweeps Western Michigan
Division I
Chandler Bilodeau, the former Thornton Academy and Maine Wild forward of the NA3HL, tallied a goal in each game of the weekend as Alabama took down Western Michigan 4-3 Friday and 2-1 Saturday. Timmy Kirkwood scored his 3rd goal of the year with 3 minutes left in a back and fourth game 1 to give Alabama the 4-3 win. Game 2 was another tight game, with the game remaining tied for majority of the second half. Chandler Bilodeau tallied the game winner with less than 2 minutes to go to give Bama the 2-1 win and the weekend sweep.

Who produces the top talent of the ACHA? We broke down the rosters of the Adrian, Lindenwood, Liberty, Minot State and Iowa State to find out. The NAHL and its affiliate tier III league, the NA3HL, produced 25% of the total players. Another strong trend was the amount of players pulled from Canadian Junior B programs from the MJHL, SJHL, KIJHL and AJHL. 11 players were transfers from Division I and Division III NCAA programs.

Lindenwood Takes Over Top Spot
Division I
After Adrian fell to Stony Brook, Lindenwood took care of business defeating Maryville by a combined score of 9-2 over the 2 game series. Andy Willis, the former Austin Bruin assistant captain of the NAHL, tallied 3 goals for the weekend. After their weekend series vs Roosevelt University, Lindenwood has only 4 ACHA Division I games for the rest of 2021, against tough opponents in Iowa State Nov 13-14 and University of Michigan Dearborn Dec 4-5.
URI Downs Drexel
Division I
URI took care of Drexel behind impressive offensive performances Jonathan Shaw and Nick Ferraro, defeating the Dragons 5-1 and 2-0. After a tough first game where they were down only tied for parts of the first, Drexel responded well in game 2, with neither team scoring until 5 minutes into the third and outshooting URI 36-27. Curtis Briggs made 59 saves on 60 shots on the weekend, including 36 in Saturday’s 2-0 win.

Rider Remains Undefeated
Division II
Dominick Cerceo tallied his 5th goal of the season and 3 on the weekend, as Rider University took care of business in their home and home series against Marist College. Rider finishes the month of October with a series against Central Michigan, and then a Friday away the following week against Siena.
Keene State Heats Up
Division II
After defeating UNH, Siena and Vermont, Keene State defeated RPI before tying Vermont. Callahan Loos has found his scoring touch, netting his first 4 goals of the season in the weekend.
