Upcoming Games To Watch
Liberty vs Adrian
After dropping 2 games to Minot State last weekend, Liberty faces another possible top 10 team in Adrian this weekend. At 6-0, a series sweep this weekend will most likely put Adrian in the top 5 conversation.
Alabama vs WVU
After splitting their first series to open the season, Alabama and West Virginia will meet again this weekend in Morgantown. After starting the season 1-3, WVU has gone 3-1 in their last 4, recently splitting with George Mason. Alabama enters the series 2-4 and will hope for the sweep before facing Central Oklahoma next weekend at home.
UNLV vs Alaska Anchorage D1
UNLV faces another Division I opponent this weekend in a 2 game series at Alaska Anchorage. UNLV has remained perfect in ACHA play, and will face Arizona State for their next ACHA tests 10.27 and 10.29.
Drexel vs NYU
Drexel will face NYU for back to back weekend series, starting this weekend in Philadelphia. The Dragons enter the matchup 6-0, with a dominating performance this weekend surely helping them solidify at Top 25 ranking in November.

Grand Valley State Back To Winning Ways
After splitting last weekend with a 9-0 victory over Oakland and a 7-0 loss to Adrian, Grand Valley State defeated Western Michigan 7-1 in their Wednesday matchup. After starting the year 3-0, including a sweep of Michigan Dearborn, Grand Valley State has gone 3-2 in their last 5 games.
The Lakers will look to gain some consistency 10/15 vs Calvin University before traveling to University of Illinois for a 2 game series 10/21-10/22.

Down Goes Liberty
Minot State University defeated the previously undefeated and arguably the top ACHA Division I program Liberty Flames 4-2 and 2-1 over the weekend. The Beavers held a high powered Liberty offense to 25 shots or fewer in both games, with Landyn Cochrane and Carter Barley coming up with key goals.
UNLV Remains Perfect in ACHA Play
UNLV improved their ACHA record to 3-0 after sweeping their weekend series vs Utah 3-2 and 6-2. UNLV opened their season against 2022 NCAA DI National Champions University of Denver, falling 10-0, and will face NCAA DI program University of Alaska Anchorage next weekend.
UNLV’s powerplay put up 4 goals over the 2 games, and killed 8 of 9 penalties.
Stony Brook Improves to 4-0
After taking care of Syracuse last weekend, Stony Brook defeated NYU in a home and home series 5-2, 3-2 this past weekend. Stony Brook’s William Kormanik, Spencer Boris and Greg Branch each found the net twice in the series, while Adam Peck tallied 2G 2A for NYU.
Colorado State Bounces Back
After dropping both games to Central Oklahoma the previous weekend, Colorado State was able to get back to their winning ways with 2 wins over the past weekend vs Missouri State, including a 4-3 shootout win Saturday night.
Missouri State, a top 10 team in 2021-2022, will look to bounce back into the top 10 conversation as they face Oklahoma and Colorado to finish out the month.
Is Drexel A Top 10 Contender ?
Drexel continued to take care of business this past weekend, defeating Syracuse 5-4 and 7-2. Freshman Matt Harris picked up his 5th and 6th goals of the season in the 7-2 victory Saturday, now tied for the team lead with defenseman Nick Castura, who has 5 goals and 7 assists in the Dragons’ opening 6 games. Harris played the ‘21-’22 season with the Philadelphia Little Flyers U18’s, posting 14 goals and 13 assists in 23 games.
Drexel’s upcoming schedule includes the next 4 games vs NYU, followed by Niagara, University of Delaware and University of Rhode Island. If the Dragons continue to roll, their matchup vs Stony Brook 11/19 could be one of the top matchups of the season.
Sun Devils Take Care of Ducks
Arizona State improved to 5-0 on the season with a commanding sweep of Oregon 7-6, and 6-2 last weekend. They must be careful to not overlook a solid 3-1 Grand Canyon team this weekend, with huge series coming up against UNLV 10.27-10.29 and University of Arizona 11.4-11.5.
Illinois Falls to 0-4
Purdue University Northwest outscored University of Illinois 11-0 in a sweep of their home and home series, 7-0, 4-0, and will look to remain unbeaten this week with a 2 game series vs Northern Illinois. Illinois will look to get into the win column this weekend with 2 games vs 4-0 Ohio University, who are fresh off a weekend sweep of Alabama.
Cooper Olson, a NAPHL and NA3HL product, stopped all 54 shots in the 2 games for Purdue Northwest, with teammate Hayden Masloski finishing the series with 3G 3A. Masloski played for Minnesota Blue Ox in the USPHL Premier the previous 2 seasons, where he was captain in 21-22, tallying 18G 64A in 51 games.
Central Oklahoma Improves To 5-2
Central Oklahoma fell to UNLV 10/2, but responded vs Midland University this past weekend, winning 6-2 and 4-3. Kaeden Meuer scored 3 times over the 2 games, with team point leader Vitalii Mikhailov finishing the series with 1G 1A, to increase his season totals to 8G 3A in 7 games.
Central Oklahoma will have the week off before traveling to Alabama to face the tide 10/21 and 10/22.
Oswego State Sweeps William Paterson
After an exciting 3-2 OT win Friday night, the Lakers doubled up the William Paterson Pioneers with a 5-2 win Saturday to take the weekend series. Oswego State improved to 5-2 with the sweep, and will next face Indiana University of Pennsylvania 10/21 and 10/22.
Niagara’s Offense Shines vs Rutgers
Rylan Clemons, a NOJHL and MJHL product, finished the 2 game series with 4 goals and 2 assists as Niagara defeated Rutgers 9-3, 6-1. Niagara’s offense put up a ridiculous 140 shots total in the 2 games, and will take on NCAA Division III opponents Brockport State and Buffalo State.
Michigan-Dearborn Sweeps Concordia University
After dropping a Thursday matchup to a tough Adrian team 3-2, Michigan Dearborn took the first game with Concordia 3-2, powered by a 2 goal third period from Mikhail Khudenko. Khudenko was at it again in Saturday’s tilt, scoring twice in a 5 goal third period for Michigan Dearborn, who would squeak out the victory 6-5 to complete the sweep.
Navy, UDel Split Weekend Series
Navy took Game 1 4-2 behind 38 saves from Charles Doherty in net. The Blue Hens would respond in game 2, when Dom Guido tucked his 7th goal of the year 6 minutes into the 3rd to break a 3-3 tie, winning 4-3.
Navy will welcome Pitt this weekend for a 2 game series, while UDel will take on a struggling Syracuse squad in 2 games at home.
